Taking into account recent concerns with lead wicks and a growing awareness of environment, all-natural soy candles are becoming more and more popular.  At Mountain View Soy, we have spent considerable time researching all aspects of candles, including the fragrance oil, wax and wicks.  It is this time and research that has allowed us to produce a quality product for our customers.  Each of our candles has an approximate burn time of 10 hours per ounce.  That's more than 160 hours for our 16 ounce jars!

            After learning about the negative effects of burning paraffin candles (which are derived from petroleum), the all-natural soy candles are a perfect fit for today’s “green” environment.  Soy candles burn cleaner and longer and do not emit the black soot that is commonly associated with the petroleum-based paraffin candles.  Paraffin wax requires blending with chemicals in order to release fragrance.  Soy wax releases fragrances naturally, more quickly and for a much longer amount of time.  Another important consideration, soy wax supports the American farmer and not the foreign oil industry. 

            So you may ask, “What is the difference between other brands of soy candles and Mountain View Soy Candles?”   Mountain View Soy is a small family business that cares about the products they create, their customers and the environment.  It is always our number one priority to produce a quality product we are proud to put our name on.  Mountain View Soy is not a multi-level corporate.  We are small enough that we can provide the special attention to details that our customers have come to appreciate and expect.  Many of our candles are personalized and specially ordered.  As far as we know, we are currently the only company in Spokane that offers this service with candles.  We have enjoyed personalizing candles for new babies, weddings, family reunions, birthdays and business functions.  The possibilities are exciting and endless.

            In an effort to be environmentally friendly, Mountain View Soy offers refills for our candles at a minimal cost.  Not only do refills save the consumer money, it also reduces the amount of waste from all those empty jars.  Refills are an important aspect of our business, and there seems to be many recycled jars waiting to be filled with new and exciting scents.
